Here Are Races On The Line In Upcoming Long Island Primaries

There are primary elections on Tuesday, June 25 featuring several city, town and county legislative races.

Long Beach 

Seven Democrats are running for three seats on the Long Beach City Council: incumbent Chumi Diamond, incumbent Anthony P. Eramo, TImothy Kramer. Karen McInnis, James Mulvaney, Ronald Paganini and Elizabeth Treston.

East Hampton

Former town Democratic Party Chairman David Gruber faces East Hampton Town Supervisor Peter Van Scoyoc, also a Democrat, in an Independence Party primary.

In a Democratic Party primary for East Hampton town trustee, there are 12 candidates running for nine seats: John M. Aldred, Francis J. Bock, Dell R. Cullum, Benjamin P. Dollinger, Richard P. Drew II, Tim Garneau, James C. Grimes, Rona S. Klopman, Stephen M. Lester, Mike Martinsen, Susan McGraw-Keber and Bill Taylor.

Lisa R. Rana and Andrew T. Strong are running against each other for East Hampton town justice on the Democratic Party ballot line.

Southampton 

Town Highway Superintendent Alex D. Gregor and incumbent Democratic Supervisor Jay Schneiderman are running for Southampton town supervisor on the Independence Party ballot line.

Six Democrats will run for five town trustee seats in Southampton including two popular former trustees, Fred Havemeyer and Eric Shultz. Incumbents Bill Pell and Ann Welker and newcomers Andrew Brosnan and David Mayer complete the primary ballot.

Nassau County Legislator

Democrats running for Nassau County legislator in the 3rd District are: Monique H. Hardial and Carrie Solages.

Suffolk County Legislator

Conservatives running for Suffolk County legislator in the 11th District are: Joan Manahan and Joseph McDermott.
